Dr Marcus Bussey is a cultural theorist with a deep commitment to social change.
His research and teaching engage with the anticipatory, historical and cultural elements of consciousness that he grounds in embodied and imaginative workshops and talks.
Marcus publishes widely on topics of cultural and philosophical interest and has developed a distinctive voice that weaves together poetry, metaphor and myth with hot topics in academia and beyond.
Marcus Bussey visited Assisi at the age of fifteen in 1974. He walked the cobbled streets of the medieval town and out into the countryside beyond the towns crumbling walls. It was this time that he fell in love with the world of St Francis and St Claire, or Santa Chiara as she is known in Italy.
