The story about
Francesca Bussey
Francesca Bussey is a musician, writer, and academic living in regional Victoria, Australia.
She has been a member of several independent bands, including indie legends The Cannanes and folk pop trio Dusken Lights. She is currently playing bass with Alluvial Nuggets and toying with the idea of learning the banjo. Francesca has written stories and poetry since she was a child, but has only recently decided to write fiction for publication. Some of her poetry can be found in Beyond Alienation: Compatriots with Love and Living-kind (in press) and she is thrilled to be part of a forthcoming anthology of speculative fiction celebrating the centenary of T.S.Elliot’s The Wasteland. Francesca’s PhD is in medieval history, her thesis charts the life and death of Marguerite Porete who was burned for heresy in 1310 and one day she will write up this extraordinary story in the form of historical fiction. She is currently working as a lecturer in higher education, providing leadership in curriculum and pedagogy. Also, she lives in an old church and spends a lot of time tending to her garden.
